A Bit About Me (And How It Helps You)

If I’m not writing, I’m probably singing — music has been my passion since I was a kid, and I even recorded a country album in Nashville when I was younger. So what the heck does that have to do with copywriting? A lot, I promise!

Performing taught me how to tell a story that takes people on an emotional journey. In the words of my idol, Barbara Streisand, in my favorite movie, Funny Girl: 

“I can make ‘em cry! I can make ‘em sigh! And I can make ‘em drool over your property like a popsicle in the middle of a heat wave.” 

(Ok, I might have added in that last part.)

I’m also the friend that you come to when you’re feeling down and out because you know by the time we’re done, you’ll be laughing again and excited for what’s next. There’s nothing I love more than being a hype-girl for my friends, clients, and your future guests

And that’s pretty much the same energy I bring to the emails I write. Just some words on a page? Never. I’m all about creating excitement and anticipation that makes people want to be a part of what you’re offering.

I’ve always been a lifelong learner, with multiple qualifications in the business, hospitality, and beauty industries. 

When it comes to The Cheeky Pineapple, I make sure to stay on top of marketing trends and have taken copywriting, email marketing, and email management courses to sharpen my craft. Because it’s not just about clever words — you also need great strategy to see results. 

When I travel, it’s usually to the US to spend time with my huge extended family. It’s a big part of why summer is my favorite season. You can’t beat a day at the beach or in the pool, followed by a delicious BBQ and roasting marshmallows under the stars.

But I also love exploring the UK (where I live now) with my husband and two amazing kids. Whether it’s going on little adventures, discovering new restaurants, or just enjoying a change of scenery, I get how valuable those experiences are. And that’s why I’m passionate about helping you create a brand that delivers that same excitement to your guests.

🎵 My music taste is all over the place. One minute, I'm belting out Barbra Streisand, the next I'm vibing to Chappell Roan, then headbanging to System of a Down, and ending with an MMMbop ala Hanson.

🍍 In case you haven’t noticed, I’m obsessed with pineapples. If I see a pineapple-themed piece of jewelry, clothing, or home decor, you can bet your bottom dollar it’s coming home with me.

🍹 My favorite (grown-up) beverage is a pina colada, followed closely by a strawberry margarita. Both frozen, obviously.

💛 My idea of paradise is a fridge full of ice-cold Snapple Lemon Iced Tea that never runs out and unlimited egg rolls. I can’t get either of them in the UK and, therefore, live in a perpetual state of unsatisfied cravings.
